Welcome to Eagleby dance centre a school dedicated to developing excellence in dance in a fun and supportive environment, our vision as a school is to enable all students to achieve their personal best and to nurture their aspirations for dance.

Eagleby dance centre offers tuition for all ages, and levels of ability in the styles of Classical Ballet, Jazz/Funk and Tap.

      About the principal
      Heather Barraclough has taught a wide range of dance styles and holds a Royal academy of dance Teachers' certificate. Her most recent credits include:-Dancer role in the Jupiter's Casino Stage Spectacular "Tempo Rouge" (2006), "Zingarra" (2007) and is currently the dance captain for Sea World.

      Term 1 Time Table
      24th of Janurary - 13th of March 2012
      (Classes are subject to change depending on class numbers, ballet students wishing to enter exams must attend two classes per week. Exams are optional if you do not wish to enter you may attend one or both classes. Students must reach minimum age by Janurary 1st 2012. (For eg: Ballet Primary must have reached 4yrs to attend this class by Janurary 1st 2012.)

      4.30-5.30pm Grades 1 & 2 Ballet (7-9yrs )

  • Please note; Please notify the principal if you wish to enter  an exam. Exams are optional. Primary students must reach 6yrs by Janurary 1st 2012 to enter.

Class descriptions

Tiny tots 2.5 yrs- 3.5yrs
An introduction to ballet and jazz for young dancers. This class aims to encourage imagination, basic technique, flexibility, musicality and a love for dance.

R.A.D Classical Ballet 4yrs+
From this age (pre-primary) students commence learning their RAD classical syllabus, which can be followed to professional standard (solo-seal).

S.F.D Jazz/Funk 4ys+
Students can also begin to study the Southern Federation of Dance Syllabus. Danced to popular music, jazz is an ever evolving style. In addition to syllabus work routines are developed and performed at events and the end of year concert.

S.F.D Tap 4ys+
Tap students also study the Southern Federation of Dance Syllabus. Like jazz, tap routines are danced to popular music. The Tap syllabus which includes theory and practice develops good tap technique, rhythm,style and musicality. This class also works on a routine each week.
